SHould i wait to mix in liquid throttle until right before i ride?
1
Liquid Throttle can be mixed in ahead of time or right before the ride. The intial boiling point is around 125°F, which is much more stable than other volatile gasoline components. While vapors can form below 125°F, the majority of Liquid Throttle will remain a liquid in the fuel. This means your fuel will stay fresh much longer and liquid throttle can be mixed into the fuel ahead of time or before riding.
How do I increase volatility of Gasoline?
2
If you’re looking to boost the volatility of gasoline for your performance engine, Liquid throttle is the only fuel treatment on the market. A more volatile fuel will provide quicker cold starts, faster throttle response and better fuel / air mixing to support complete combustion.
Is liquid THrottle for pump gas or race gas?
3
Both! Liquid Throttle will fully mix with all grades of pump gas, race gas, E85 and methanol. Pump gas is usually volatized by butane(boiling point 31°F), this component will evaporate quickly from a poorly sealed container and leave behind a stale fuel. Many race fuels are designed for warm weather and will have lower volatility than pump gas. Liquid Throttle will boost volatility of race fuels and can replace the vapors that escape during handling and storage and especially during the off season.
How will Liquid throttle change my octane rating (R+M)/2?
4
Liquid Throttle is blended from high octane specialty ingredients to provide the level of quality needed for racers and performance enthusiasts. Stale fuels that have lost their butane(92 octane) and isopentane(91 octane) vapors will benefit from blending with Liquid Throttle at 99 octane (R+M)/2. For example, 2.5 gallons of 91 octane (R+M)/2 fuel that is mixed with one 32 oz can of Liquid Throttle will result in 91.8 octane; this ratio is 91% pump gas and 9% Liquid Throttle. Depending on the mix ratio, leaded fuels can have a reduction in octane rating due to tetraethyl lead being diluted. This is a complex equation so please contact us for application support.
WHat is the shelf life of liquid throttle?
5
Liquid Throttle has a long shelf life and contains antioxidant additives to maintain chemically stability of at least 3 years. Liquid Throttle should be stored in a cool place where temperatures won’t exceed 100°F. If your garage, shed or race trailer will be getting over 100°F, you should mix Liquid Throttle into your gasoline and keep in a tightly sealed gas can or fuel jug.
